Software engineer (.Net) | Light Conversion

We are currently inviting a Software Engineer (.NET) to join our Research and Development team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technological devices from the ground up, collaborating with experts from various fields.
The role:
- Continuously evolve our software by developing new features and refining/upgrading existing solutions leveraging the latest .NET technologies (including .NET 8, ASP.NET, Blazor) to ensure peak performance and forward compatibility
- Collaborate with teams in electronics design, firmware development, optical engineering, and more, contributing to the R&D of new products
- Implement modern development practices, including Docker CI/CD, GitHub Actions and cloud services (Azure) to enhance project efficiency and product quality
We expect:
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Experience with .NET development environments
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field
- Proficient in English, with strong communication skills
Our technology ecosystem:
As a Software Engineer (.NET) at LIGHT CONVERSION, your primary role centers on .NET development of applications, controlling our devices (75% multi-platform solutions using Blazor, 20% Windows desktop using WPF, 5% scientific libraries using Python) . However, your collaboration extends beyond just software:

• Collaborate with electronic PCB designers and embedded firmware developers, providing insights to influence hardware and firmware design and functionality

• Work with R&D engineers to develop computational algorithms implemented in both software and firmware

• Operate in laser laboratories, testing new devices and ideas while assisting R&D engineers with experiment automation

• Integrate various third-party devices in large-scale systems for custom scientific applications
